Restoring original Firmware on IConnect...
November 04, 2011 06:50AM
Hi,
my Iomega Iconnetct is bricked after a firmware update. I have Putty-access to the Marvel-Bootloader but when continueing the regular boot process, the Iomega Linux stops with the message "ubiattach:error! cannot attach UBIFS error (pid 499): ubifs_get_sb: cannot open "ubi0:boot", error -19 mtd4 error 19 (No such device)"
It seems that the firmware upgrade was not writing the full image to memory.

Is there any change to restore the original Iomega Firmware using the bootlader?

R,
Christian

Hi,
when Bootloder is still working, the "Iconnect Imager" can restore the Iomega Firmware.
SW available from Iomega: http://markup.io/original/published/tk3h07gzaf5w

After booting the unzipped "Iomega Imager" from an USB-stick, my Iconnect is working
again...

Christian
