Bad Block Nand NAS326

Every time you reboot the device, the settings and password are reset

Reason:

Bad block table found at page 131008, version 0x01
Bad block table found at page 130944, version 0x01
nand_read_bbt: bad block at 0x0000001a0000
nand_read_bbt: bad block at 0x0000002c0000
nand_read_bbt: bad block at 0x000000400000
nand_read_bbt: bad block at 0x00000ad40000
nand_read_bbt: bad block at 0x00000aee0000

Bad Block in the first mtd2 block:

0x000000400000-0x000000e00000 : "Config"

Because of this, the contents of the entire mtd2 are not readable
- Is it possible to change the nand markup by moving the mtd2 section one block?
- If I install Debian on USB according to your instructions, will I still have the factory Web Interface?
- In one of your posts you wrote that you have an original full dump nand NAS 326. Can you send it to me to replace Nand chip?

I never use stock OS in this box so I might not remember the details about how it was loaded by u-boot.

It should be possible. But with a lot of investigation (to see how it is loaded by stock u-boot).

No, Debian on USB is a bare bone Debian system. You will need to install some Web interface package to use it, and it will not be the same as factory NAS326.

It's been quite a long time ago, so I'm not sure I can find it. But I will try.

Other NAS326 owners, if you can, please help uploading your mtds backup files somewhere.

Webmin and cockpit are the 2 popular Web Interface apps. You can install cockpit from Debian. I think Webmin is not in Debian repo, so you'll have to download it.

I don't use Web Interface to these boxes, so can not recommend one or the other.
