Simple question: Is there any way to get the original pogoplug software back after installing the rescue system, or is it an irreversible process?

Technically it's reversible, but there is no automatic way and you need a backup. Consider it irreversible. You can install just the bootloader and then boot the RAM based rescue system from a USB stick.

Thanks that's what I thought. I already did the install. Oops! *shrug* guess I don't really need the pogoplug software but it would have been nice to be able to go back if I ever wanted to sell it or use it for its intended purpose, whatever that might have been :p
