Anybody knows the status of this router? is it shipped officially now?

What do you mean by officially? It is orderable at AliExpress and Amazon.

Thanks! SFC news from a couple months ago said the official shipping date is April 2025.

I've had one for a few months now, but haven't yet had time to do much with it. I did create the entry on WikiDevi for it.

I recall reading somewhere that with the early release boxes, users need to update to the latest FW. If you bought that early, it's likely you will need to do that.

I want to support OpenWrt so I will get this router (i.e. don't want to spend the time reinventing the wheel). Hopefully will replace my friends and relatives router with this when they need to.

They are already planning for the OpenWrt Two which will have improved features. See https://openwrt.org/voting/2025-02-12-openwrt-two where the vote was approved. Based on timeline of OpenWrt One I'd expect to see this in perhaps October or November.
