Type of uboot on M8S Android IPTV

Does anyone here know if this M8S Android IPTV uses u-boot? It will be a cool device to invest if it does use u-boot. This way, we can configure it to boot an external OS, i.e. Linux, and use it as an inexpensive computer with an HDMI TV as a HD display.

from what i understand the use droid boot like a phone

it looks like amlogic chips do run uboot after all - have a look here
