I spotted this Unitek USB to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter + 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub deal ($21.99 - $13.19 w/ promotional code T5B2ONE2 = $8.80. Shipping is free w/ Prime or if total checkout is $25 or more) and thought may be some of you may wanna get it.

Joey,

If you have a need for one (especially on you Pogoplug Pro with a USB3 port), grab it before the offer is gone.

I already have some USB2NET USB2 dongles based on the Asix AX88772B chipset. I tested this on my Pogoplug Pro and was able to get almost 100 Mbps connection, IIRC.

OTOH, the Davicom DM96xx USB2NET USB2 dongle was only able to give me about 12 Mbps on the same Pogoplug Pro.

In the future I'll buy if I have the money and the deal is there. Poor me has $10 and was trying to amass $15 for a SanDisk Ultra Plus (80/80) 32GB SD card, and the price went up this morning grrr...

Well, if the USB2NET dongle is important to you and now you seem to have the $10, then you can decide to get the USB2NET dongle, right?

Oh yeah, but for one there's overhead on $10 to pay for it, wouldn't I need an Amazon card because they don't take PayPal? And from there how much does it cost to put money on an Amazon card? All i know is, PayPal costs $23.95 for $20 spendable.

Habibie that's a decent deal you found, but 100 Mbps (10 MB/sec) I think is only pennywise as a spare. In two grueling years I've done well even with PayPal/eBay-only. Still, microSD cards aren't a glamorous purchase and I've got four units (from Pogoplug Mobile to Beelinks to router) that bucket-brigade hand-me-downs, so a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Last week BestBuy had Sandisk Ultra Plus 16GB for under $10 and 32GB for under $15, @ 80 MB/sec in and out :-) So I pay $5 more this week, oh well.

Sorry and I wouldn't know if Amazon will accept PayPal.

Yes!!! And there were no limits so I cleaned out their stock of 32GB (7 of them)!

That's awesome to hear! For a while I was of the inclination to believe Samsung Evos (80 MB reads, 20 MB writes) were somehow on par with SanDisk's Ultra Plus @ 80/80 MB./sec - it isn't. My lone SanDisk UltraPlus 16GB running ArmbiDebian is lightening fast, so now the learning will be whether Xenial does the same thing. Then my Evos can go to devices where write speeds don't matter so much and read speeds are appreciated.

Also it isn't uncommon for Best Buy to toggle back another week later, so I'll buy later on this week, and get that price difference if it does go down.

Best Buy's price match guarantee:

Part of it reads:
At the time of sale, we price match all local retail competitors (including their online prices) and we price match products shipped from and sold by these major online retailers: Amazon.com, Bhphotovideo.com, Crutchfield.com, Dell.com, HP.com, Newegg.com, and TigerDirect.com.

So an Amazon or TigerDirect sale should apply at Best Buy. I know first hand they discounted a 2TB external hard drive that Adorama sold as well. I should make a search template to enter the item and it searches them all. This could take things to a whole new affordability.
