Looks like the brightness adjustment of this lcd is crap.
Had a closer look at the brightness adjustment - seems only values 0 - 8 are useable at all.
Please try attached fw.

Yea, that works much better. :) But as you say, brightness adjustment on the LCD is probably crap, because there is almost no difference between steps or even the between 1 and 8. :)

Thanks! :)

Hi

I found this dpf in a drawer. I have no information other than it is manufactured by Winbond. Unfortuantely it does not work for me.

Here is a link to the firmware http://www.filedropper.com/fulldump20131217-221117

Are there any chances of getting it to work?

This in no known firmware!

Sorry, no matching dpf found.

So: no Buildwin firmware, possibly no AX208 dpf - nothing I can do. :(

I have uploaded the firmware here : http://www.filedropper.com/fulldump20140107-210620

Do you think I can try directly "linkdelight_3" firmware.
What partial match means ?
What if firmware is wrong ? May I brick the DPF ?

Thanks.

@BmD_Online

Please try attached fw.
Do you have a name or a link to seller / manufacturer? Else it will stay acme_8...

If there is no reset switch - do you have an on/off switch? Works also.
As an alternative you can remove the battery (example instructions - in German - here. I think you will get the point from the pictures.) Without a battery connecting USB power works like the reset switch.

Yes - but the attached fw will work better. :)

> What partial match means ?
Indentify.py tries to find (1) the lcd display initialisation routine plus (2) the routine that puts pixel an the display. A partial match means that only one of these two routines have a match in your dpf (for the given "known" type.)

> What if firmware is wrong ? May I brick the DPF ?
No. You can always reflash the original fw.

Great, it works.
I have to remove my AA batteries, plug USB cable keeping power button pressed.

My DPF is named "DPF1026", by "KEENOX".
It looks like this.

BTW, do you have your splash image in other than rgb format (png for example) ?
I can't transform rgb to png (reversing setsplash.sh)...

Anyway, thanks.

Thanks!
The brightness control does act a little odd. 1-19 works normally, with 19 being the brightest. 20, and 21 seem to be the darkest. I also noticed the up/down buttons are reversed.

I bought a pdf,named pt824,not pt824a,display:2.4 TFT,16MB, can store 100pics。
240*320,

Running on windows - unable to detect flash size
Reading 100000 bytes from flash...
Flash written to file 'fulldump_win_20140119-151752.bin'.

Would be great if you could work your magic on this firmware.

Cheers .

The brightness control problem : step 21 is not the brightest, step 12 is the brightest.

Hmm.. can't find anything unusual.

Brightness increases from 1 .. 12, then drops and increases again?
Or is only step 21 faulty?

thank you ,
step 1....12 : Brightness From 0 to 100%.
step 13 drops Brightness, and step 14 drops Brightness....
step 21's Brightness looks like step 10.

How many steps are in the original fw? 12 or 21?
If 21 - do all steps work?

So the pragmatic approach - I limited the number of brightness steps to 0 .. 12. :-O
Please try if brightness now works correctly.
