I reinstalled uBoot and Squeeze on my Data Traveller 2GB drive to ensure I didn't change anything I forgot about. Below is the output of fw_printenv after configuring netconsole. Pogoplug:/tmp$ fw_printenv ethact=egiga0 bootdelay=3 baudrate=115200 mainlineLinux=yes console=ttyS0,115200 led_init=green blinking led_exit=green off led_error=orange blinking mtdparts=mtdparts=orion_nby marlowe - uBoot
I was able to netconsole working and noted it was complaining about no uImage as noted here, http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,11396. I created the images on my Crunchbang machine and copied the files over. From there I received the following from netconsole Patricks-MacBook-Pro:062513 pmcdonald$ sudo nc -lu 6666 U-Boot 2011.12 (Feb 12 2012 - 21:33:07) Seagate FreeAgent DockStar arm-nby marlowe - uBoot

All, Installed the latest UBoot following the instructions listed here, http://projects.doozan.com/uboot/. However, fw_printenv and fw_setenv were installed in /usr/sbin instead of /usr/bin as stated in the documentation. An attempt to reinstall confirmed I have the latest UBoot installed. ## Valid uBoot detected: I installed Debian Squeeze successfully following the instructions listedby marlowe - Debian
