I never got the rt2870 driver properly working on Debian Squeeze. The USB stick was found and the driver was loaded, but either I did not get an IP via DHCP or the ping times were horribly slow (>100ms) or even timing out completely. After switching to Lenny the driver was working perfectly without any issues.by Joschi - Debian
