maybe it's just again the problem of 70-persitent-network rules (in /etc/udev/rules.d/) ,-) so that eth0 is renamed to eth1 and eth1 is not configured. otherways use a serial connection to debug.by Mosci - Debian
you can identify you kernelversion by typing uname -r in the console. on a new install via jeffs script it should be version 2.6.32.5 the differences between the kernels: different module-integrations & -versions. the real differences can be found in the changelogs .-) at kernel.org like gorgone wrote ... if everything works like it should, you don't need to change the kernelby Mosci - Debian
give my 2.6.35.5 kernel a try - with that the ath9k_htc works like a charm on my dockstar link to my kernel-post if it works - let me know ... if not - i have no idear ;-)by Mosci - Debian
i think apt-get install libncurses5-dev will do the trick .-)by Mosci - Debian
@Rudolf thats my config regarding the ath: CONFIG_ATH_COMMON=m CONFIG_ATH_DEBUG=y CONFIG_ATH5K=m CONFIG_ATH5K_DEBUG=y CONFIG_ATH9K_HW=m CONFIG_ATH9K_COMMON=m CONFIG_ATH9K=m CONFIG_ATH9K_DEBUGFS=y CONFIG_ATH9K_HTC=m CONFIG_ATH9K_HTC_DEBUGFS=y have you installed libncurses5 too? i don't remember exactly, but i think that was missing on my try to compile on the dockstar itselfs .by Mosci - Debian
@Rudolf i have had also problems with this module and the (heavy) kernel from gorgone thats why i have compiled a kernel myself (and because i needed the spca1528 which is not in the kerneltree). have you tried it with my kernel? i told you .-) it works well on my dockstar. maybe you have more luck with the 2.6.35.6 which gorgone will provide ps:rentner werde ich hoffentlich auch mal ...by Mosci - Debian
