Hi Bodhi, cool --- within the 3.17 kernel source, the rtc-pcf8563 driver does now include alarm functionality. Could you please provide the packages to install the 3.17?. Thanksby Stefnas - Debian
Hello Bodhi, WOL and RTC is working, but i thought its still not possible to set a wake alarm. But there's still not code to do a scheduled wake up of my nsa325 within the pcf8563.c code. Suspend is possible, wut a wake up from a wake alarm due to a specific time doesn't seem to be possible - only from WOL. In oder to use tvheadend or anything else , would prefer a a wake up from alarmby Stefnas - Debian
Hi Bodhi, The official kernel driver version of the pcf 8563 does not support the wake up alarm. And there seems to be no success to solve the "rtc-mv not ticking problem". But a patch from Vincent Donnefort is available, that will add alarm support for the NXP PCF8563 chip. Did you already try to add this patch ?. That might also work for the nsa325 and would be very helpfull. Thby Stefnas - Debian
You are right, i synced tpo github nsa325-mod found a lot of hints and after build a 3.14.5 kernel with bodhi's patches und bodhi's initrd the system failed to mount the root fs and i got a prompt within the rd.I thought i had to rebuild uinitrd - but did not find any scripts or descriptions. Therfore i was happy to find initramfs.... With the original kernel and initrd and rootfs froby Stefnas - Debian
Thanks bodhi, I succeeded to compile and to bootthe kernel (with 3.14.5). The original uInitrd (from your tarbal 3.14.0 succeed to load but it fails to load the rootfs on the same usb-stick. With the 3.14.0-kirkwood-tld-1 kernel it succeeded). I made also a new uInitrd file with the modules from the compiled 3.14.5 kernel but loading always fails with ## Booting image at 02000000 ... Hi Bodhi, you work is really great. I want to extend the functionality of the rtc within the nsa325 in order to enable wake up alarm of the rtc. But i'mfailing to install the compiled kernel module with the dmesg "rtc_pcf8563: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout". I installed the kernel "Linux version 3.14.0-kirkwood-tld-1". How can i rebuild the kernel ?.by Stefnas - Debian
