OK, I've dug all over the forum as well as the internet and can't find any info on whether anyone has ever tried to get Debian or anything else running on the older Zyzel NSA221. Is this doable? I've successfully done this on Buffalo NAS's, my Zyxel NSA310 and NSA320 units but I can't see any info on the NSA221, hence the question. Looks pretty close to the Nby jlovell2105 - Debian

OK, I'm at my wits end here. Stupid me. I've been reading this site for several years and have converted several zyxel NDA320's and 310's to Debian using the instructions here on this site.
