Hi, the filesize is ~252 MB. The used file system is on both harddrives ext3, I thought, this should need even less performance then ext4 with journaling. I'm curious, what your tests will show. root@debian:~# ls -la /media/Daten/gparted-live-0.23.0-2-amd64.iso -h -rwxrw---- 1 datenzugriff datenzugriff 252M Aug 25 10:10 /media/Daten/gparted-live-0.23.0-2-amd64.isoby haarwurm - Debian
I finally managed to upgrade debian as well u-boot on my NAS. root@debian:~# uname -a Linux debian 4.8.3-kirkwood-tld-1 #1 PREEMPT Thu Oct 20 23:33:18 PDT 2016 armv5tel GNU/Linux U-Boot has the version 2016.05. Unfortunately the performance still isn't as expected. I'm copying a file from local disk /dev/sda to local disk /dev/sdb: root@debian:~# hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep sby haarwurm - Debian
After upgrading to kernel 4.4.0 I finally managed to install U-Boot 2016.05. I got some problems, because the previously installed u-boot was so old, that the envs were installed in /dev/md1, the new envs are expected in /dev/md0. Because of this, I had to edit the /etc/fw_env.config. After having succesfully installed U-boot 2016.05 the NAS didn't boot, I got some kernelpanic. This thby haarwurm - uBoot
For further reference, since I needed some attempts, to find the correct syntax: The working command is: setenv bootcmd_linux 'setenv bootargs $(bootargs_linux); mw.l f1010100 0020c000; usb reset; ext2load usb 0:1 $(loadaddr) /boot/uImage; ext2load usb 0:1 0x01100000 /boot/uInitrd; bootm $(loadaddr) 0x01100000' Furthermore, I had to set : setenv 'bootargs=console=ttyS0,115200by haarwurm - Debian
bodhi, are you ever sleeping? Again, you answered my question almost instantly, thank you - and by the way, thank you for your indispensable work. Concerning the DTS part, I used the nsa325 file, but forgot to alter the pasted text, sorry. The correct envs did the trick, my NSA325v2 is booting! :) Now I'll try to update the U-Boot, I'm curious, what happens now...by haarwurm - Debian
Hello everyone, this is my third thread in order to update my NSA325v2 - it seems, I've no luck with this box... :/ Anyways, I'm trying to install Debian 4.4.0 rootfs, in order to be able to install the newest U-Boot - seeNSA325V2 u-boot installation - Problem with permission denied. In order to install Debian 4.4.0 rootfs, i've followed the instructions on http://forum.doby haarwurm - Debian
Thank you very much for the suggestions. Since I can't check an other file system at the moment, I've decided to upgrade first to the newest U-boot / rootfs. But, no luck with this topic either: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,31187,31187#msg-31187by haarwurm - Debian
Hello! I'm trying to install the newest U-Boot 2016.05. Part "A. Flashing Instruction:" doesn't work for me ("flash_erase /dev/mtd0 0 4" results in an error message). A little bit of googling got me to a page on this forum stating, that my NSA325v2 is using stock boot environment parameter and I've to update them by using the update procedure described inby haarwurm - uBoot
Hello everybody, I've installed Debian on my Zyxel NSAv2 NAS in order to get rid of the awful legacy Zyxel UI. The installation worked perfectly, debian is now running on my nas. I've installed it on a SD card, located in a SD Card reader in one of the read USB ports (none of my "normal" pen drives worked). root@debian:~# uname -a Linux debian 3.14.0-kirkwood-tld-1by haarwurm - Debian
