From what I understand, the line you put in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persisten-net.rules should make it so that if the system detects mac address 02:50:43:7f:81:16, it assigns that adapter the device name "eth0". I have no idea why your mac address would change, though. Oh, and if it did change, then I think it would come up as eth1, since eth0 would be reserved for the previous mac addby Flavor - Debian
I am having a similar problem. I installed Debian on my new Dockstar last week. I even installed the 2.6.35.7.4 kernel ( http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,582 ) to get the LEDs to work. When cold booted, it will just boot to NAND, and I have to log in as root and reboot it. Then it will run Debian. I tried adding 'usb stop; usb start;' to usb_init, but that didn't help.by Flavor - Debian
