Quotebodhi At the moment, I think the MAC address stored in the NIC itself is the problem (or one of the problems) with WOL. I was thinking the same. There's no way how to find out what is the address and test then?by nielsek - Debian
Strange, but WOL does not work for me anymore. It worked for the first time, but not anymore.by nielsek - Debian
yes, "poweroff" was used. Attached first outputs, will let you know late.rby nielsek - Debian
Hi. The answer to first 3 questions is yes. I think my LED's are all white? :-)by nielsek - Debian
Hi. I was able to log in with defaults (admin/1234). I also found out that my mtd2 was problematic: UBI error: ubi_attach_mtd_dev: failed to attach mtd2, error -22 UBIFS error (pid 1606): ubifs_mount: cannot open "ubi2:ubi_config", error -19 Finally I got both NANDs working, by flashing firmware first from mtd6 and then from mtd4. Then I got rid of mtd2 errors and was able to saby nielsek - Debian
Awesome, working. Huge thanks!by nielsek - Debian
It seems I needed to do flash_erase before nandwrite. Testing..by nielsek - Debian
Great, will try as soon as get home. Is nandwrite the correct command for that and are there any specific switches?by nielsek - Debian

Thanks in advance! Unfortunately I don't have copies of them myself. I did backups of them, but after I ran into problems :-(by nielsek - Debian
Thanks bodhi. I attached serial and it seems that both NANDs are corrupt. NAND2 doesn't boot at all, NAND1 is trying but can't attach ubi. It should be possible to write firmware again from debian or u-boot? I'm unable to find instructions though. There is an interesting file http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/Users/Mijzelf/NAS326/ zyxel_support_send_instruction.zip I trby nielsek - Debian
I have used standard pl2303 usb/serial converter with Dockstar and GoFlex. It should work also for NAS326?by nielsek - Debian
I've been booting succesfully from USB key attached to front port. Unfortunately I'm not able to boot into stock mode, once pulling out the USB key, NAS326 just keeps continously beeping. I have not connected the serial cable, as I installed with the USB option. Should I do that or is it safe to try something else? I'm a bit scared changing (back) the uboot env's to stock mby nielsek - Debian

What about booting from SATA disk?by nielsek - Debian
Thanks for the great work, very happy using Debian on my NAS326. I'm booting from USB stick plugged in the front USB port (2.0). Whenever I plug it into the back USB ports, it will boot into failsafe. Should I change some boot environments?by nielsek - Debian
Do I understand correctly, that additionally kernel support with headers need to be present? eng_cryptodev.c:57:30: fatal error: crypto/cryptodev.h: No such file or directoryby nielsek - Debian
I was quite excited reading about this, hoping I could revive my dockstar with broken serial. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. What did you do after flashing? Just removed JTAG and resetted the dockstar or are some other commands needed? Could you also share which dockstar.cfg you used? Thanks in advance!by nielsek - uBoot
Just an idea, maybe someone can give me thoughts, if it's possible. Jeff's uboot can be accessed by netconsole. For this with (fw_)setenv some values have to be set. I made this on my other dockstar, and made a backup of mtd0 with nanddump. Then I loaded this image through openocd to the broken dockstar. Somehow still I wasn't able to access the uboot through netconsole. Is tby nielsek - uBoot
Hi. During bricking my Dockstar, I was somehow able to break serail Rx (input). After booting with JTAG into uboot (uboot-original-mtd0.kwb) I can see status through serial cable, but it's offline (not accepting commands). The same cable and same configuration works with my other dockstar. What do you think, it this end for this dockstar, or are there any chances to send commands thrby nielsek - uBoot
