Hi bodhi, It happened again. After rebooting today, the box couldn't boot and I check env and found the same old misconfiguration: load_dtb=ext2load usb 0:1 0x1c00000 /boot/dts/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb load_initrd=ext2load usb 0:1 0x1100000 /boot/uInitrd load_uimage=ext2load usb 0:1 0x800000 /boot/uImage So I went ahead with your fix above and it boots now. Is there a way to make itby jrey - Debian

Thanks bodhi. I did further experiment by plugin another USB stick that also has rootfs partition that I used for my dockstar in the front socket. This time it boots using the (intended) USB stick (for the Pogo E02). Here is the result. Might it be that the USB stick is corrupted? But it boots ok when the HD is disconnected. bodhi, I was able to ssh after commenting all the wifi dongle related in /etc/network/interfaces and connected using just the ethernet wire. Not sure what the problem was.by jrey - Debian
Hi there, I am using a 4GB USB stick to boot my pogoplug E02 with the latest kernel (5.10.7) which seems to be ok. But when I tried to attach a 320GB hard drive with a single partition with no rootfs label, it seems the system tried to boot from the hard drive and was never successful. How should I fix it? Here is the log when the hard drive was not attached: U-Boot 2017.07-tld-1by jrey - Debian

I have reinstalled debian and used your instruction above to install nextcloud 17.0.10. Everything seems to be working ok but the web and mobile app interfaces are very slow especially at the beginning. Is this what to expect or there is something I need to adjust to make it faster. Hi alexr I went ahead to install the latest version of nextcloud (ver 20) using your instruction. I did not modify anything during the installation. The web interface after installation was too slow. Not sure if I should have modified the PHP version or not but I have removed it already. I will try with version 17 again when I have time to see if it is running ok. Thank you. -jreyby jrey - Debian
Hi alexr and bodhi I want to try to install Nextcloud on the Dockstar but have some concerns: 1. will there be any problem since Docstar has only 128M ram. How much swap partition should I have? Any downside if it is set too much, e.g. 4GB? 2. I saw many more recent versions of nextcloud. 20.0.7 is the most recent. Should I download this one instead of 17.0.10 (unsupported)? I think I found the reason why it didn't work before. Every time I reboot the machine, the time gets reset to Jan 1, 1970. It takes about five minutes before it is changed to 2021. After that the script runs ok. My system is Linux pogoe02 5.5.1-kirkwood-tld-1 #1.0 PREEMPT Sat Feb 1 22:28:36 PST 2020 armv5tel GNU/Linux So, 1. I have been testing the temperature sensor DHT022 with the 40-pin GPIO of a raspberry pi and it is working wonderfully. Now I am trying to see if the same thing can be done with a pogoplug or a dockstar. The sensor essentially uses 3 pins: a 3.3V, a ground and a output data (I believe it is binary). Just wondering if this is at all possible with the pogoplug? Thank you.by jrey - Debian
Not sure what I have just done but the wifi now work without ethernet cable. Both wlan and eth0 are pingable so I think the default has been using the wireless one. Now I am trying to duplicate to another system. Thanks so much.by jrey - Debian

Thanks bodhi. I just spent the last few hours reading/searching your links but still no luck. Could you please check what the solution might be? Thanks.by jrey - Debian
Thanks, bodhi. I have noticed the problem. I am uploading data to adafruit for an IoT sensor. When I ran the script manually, I noticed that I had to wait a few minutes after rebooting debian. If I ran the script too early, I have some kind of error related to authentication with adafruit. Not sure what caused the problem. Is it possible to delay the script a few minutes if I use rc.local? I am using debian on a dockstar. Linux dockstar 5.5.1-kirkwood-tld-1 #1.0 PREEMPT Sat Feb 1 22:28:36 PST 2020 armv5tel GNU/Linux What is the easiest (and clean) way if I want to run a python script at reboot? I have tried editing /etc/rc.local but that did not seem to work. Thanks.by jrey - Debian

I have an unused VGA LCD monitor sitting in the closet, and wonder if I can make use of it. I was thinking of playing movies from a dockstar debian squeeze. Does anyone have recommendation for an inexpensive USB VGA adapter? Thank you.by jrey - Debian
