Pazos, Thanks for your help - I'll try static leasing as my last avenue. If I get the same results, I'm going to pick up a different adapter.by rawsted - Debian

Last night, I SSH'd to the wireless IP and brought down the wired interface -by rawsted - Debian
pazos, My /etc/network/interfaces file now looks like: auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.101 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet static wpa-driver wext wpa-ssid calvin wpa-bssid wpa-psk "" wpa-key-mgmt WPA-PSK #wby rawsted - Debian
I'm currently experiencing the same issue, but your fix doesn't work for me. Right now, /etc/network/interfaces looks like: auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.101 network 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255 gateway 192.168.1.1 dns-nameservers 192.168.1.1 auby rawsted - Debian
I see...well, w/r/t installation specifically, I was not able to SSH to the GoFlex even though it had pulled an IP from my router and seemed to be functioning. Any ideas?by rawsted - Debian
They sent me back a GoFlex Net, and according to the chatter around here, it seems I can do something with this thing, but I'm curious about: 1) Hardware support/functionality - not that I specifically plan on using them any time soon, but what is the current status of support for the two SATA ports? Anything else to note in this respect? 2) The installation process - how does it diffeby rawsted - Debian
So my eBay DockStar was DoA with a corrupt NAND, and instead of fixing it myself (which seemed like a hassle), I decided to RMA it instead. Well, bad idea, because they're out of replacement DockStars and they're sending me a GoFlex back instead; they wouldn't even let me buy back the DockStar. Anyway, has there been any investigation into hacking GoFlexs or should I just try to seby rawsted - Debian
It's pretty old, but it's been a reliable drive. I might wind up using it solely for storage and just go with a flash drive for the OS. Either way I'm going to have it wait, as it seems my DockStar is DOA :|by rawsted - Debian
Just to be clear, I'm talking about a full 3.5" HDD (IDE) inside of an old USB enclosure. Not a Segate Go drive.by rawsted - Debian
What about sleep/spin-down? When I used to use this thing as a backup device, it would spin down after being idle for a bit. Or will it never be an issue because of the swap partition?by rawsted - Debian
Hello, My DockStar should be arriving today and I'm thinking about first trying it with a conventional hard drive installed inside of an old AirLink101 USB enclosure instead of using a flash drive. Has anyone else done this? Can anyone foresee issues with it? Will read/write speeds be prohibitively slow? Thanks, rawstedby rawsted - Debian
