You are absolutely right. It seems that both USB sticks are not compatible (1x Verbatim Store'n'Go 16GB and 2xTransend Jetflash 300 8GB). I borrowed a HDD Toshiba STOR E steel 500GB (PA4153E-1HE0) and this USB device worked perfect. I''ll update thread "working USB sticks".
