Another try with similar result. Based on collected data I assume that problem is in fact caused by hardware. What is the best approach in your opinion to make Stora operational without problem? Is making bootable partiton on one of atteched HDDs good way? I don't want to use KingSpec SSD. I tried to reproduce the same error on older debian distribution for Stora - link. USB drive was prepared the same way as before. Update and upgrade packages performed without any issue. That is why I think my problem is driver related. root@stora:~# uname -a Linux stora 3.10.26-stora #2 Tue Jan 14 00:11:18 MSK 2014 armv5tel GNU/Linux root@stora:~# free -h total usedby lukasgl - Debian
Dar bodhi, I wiped SanDisk drive, created bootable ext3 partition and uploaded rootfs. Then i followed you instruction and got this. root@debian:/# apt-get upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Calculating upgrade... Dear bodhi, I got message from Paul, unfortunetely i don't have stock bootlog, only U-Boot variables modified by previous owner to boot from USB. I prepared SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB drive with filesystem. root@pi3:~# mkfs.ext3 -L rootfs /dev/sda1 mke2fs 1.44.5 (15-Dec-2018) /dev/sda1 contains a ext3 file system labelled 'rootfs' last mounted on / on Wed Jun 17by lukasgl - Debian
Dear bodhi, Yes, rootfs is the same. I uploaded Debian-5.2.9-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2, updated to 5.7.1 kernel, installed few packages and made some configuration (fstab, swap file, time zone, samba share, etc.). Then copied file system to SanDisk drives with below command. rsync -avz /mnt/src/* /mnt/dest/ I can upload Debian-5.2.9-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2 without anyby lukasgl - Debian
Dear All, I installed new u-Boot and Debian on Netgear Stora MS200 and have a problem with USB flash drives. I tested three USB flash drives, SD card (tried two card readers) and SSD drive.
