Hi. My NAND-system is broken. Is there a way to install pogoplug, debian or the rescue system from booted USB-stick to the NAND?by uname - Debian
A few month ago i installed debian on an usb-stick for my dockstar. It works fine, thanks to Jeffs Squeeze-Install: uname -a Linux debian 2.6.32-5-kirkwood #1 Sat Sep 18 15:20:08 UTC 2010 armv5tel GNU/Linux Because the normal pogoplug-boot fails i decided to install the rescue-system. I updated the uboot and everything installed fine ... but it do not boot. It changed after boot between greby uname - Debian
I think "deborphan" is not a good idea, use "apt-get autoremove" instead. A nice tool is "dpigs" from the debian-package "debian-goodies" to show the biggest packages. In future i want to use 1.8 inch harddrive with my dockstar.by uname - Debian
Thank you for the answers. I installed on August, 27th the first time. I think the script http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/dockstar.debian-squeeze.sh used the new version of http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/install_uboot_mtd0.sh that must solve the problem. Where can i see the right settings for uboot? Shoult i reinstall http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/install_uboot_mtd0.sh or anotherby uname - Debian
I installed Debian Squeeze on an usb-stick (http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/). Everything like openVPN, Apache2, Samba work fine, thank you Jeff for the good work. I do not want to install on NAND because of to less memory. There is a little problem. If i boot with more than one usb-device (aditional fat32-stick or additional fat32-2.5-inch-USB-HDD) the system is not booting the Debian stick. Iby uname - Debian
Do you use the Debian from USB-stick or from the NAND? If you boot from USB-stick you can make an Image on your local linux-desktop or use a live-cd. - put in the usb-stick into the linux-desktop - dd if=/dev/sdb of=/path/to/image.iso (verify the device and path) to "reinstall" - put in the usb-stick into the linux-desktop - dd if=/path/to/image.iso of=/dev/sdb (verify theby uname - Debian
