David and bodhi, Thanks! Problem solved. I initially used minitool partition wizzard under windows to create the EXT3 partition and used the label rootfs because I downloaded the image on this machine. But then decided to use gparted on my linux machine and redo the partioning because I had to copy the image to the usbstick which is not (easily) possible on windows. Forgot to name the partionby camstar - Debian
Well, not on purpose ;-) The third mtd nand partion is named rootfs. I don't even know how or when I could have changed anther label, there are no other partions as far as I know. Linux is started from a new ext3 USB stick containing just the debian image. I will look into this. I thougth the ECCerrors on the nand partions caused this problem (mainly because this is non ECC) I'llby camstar - Debian
Hi bodhi, The bootfiles are ok. The stick can also be mounted from within initramfs (initramfs) mkdir mnt (initramfs) mkdir /mnt/usbstick (initramfs) chmod 777 /mnt/usbstick (initramfs) mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick/ [ 152.624882][ T216] EXT4-fs (sda1): mounting ext3 file system using the ext4 subsystem [ 152.690632][ T216] EXT4-fs (sda1): recovery complete [ 152.697739by camstar - Debian
Hi bodhi, Thank you for your help. Checked it numerous times (as stated in the howto) and still got it wrong ;-(. But unfortunately it still does not work. I have changed the env as you described: PogoE02> printenv arcNumber=2097 arcnumber=3542 bootcmd=run bootcmd_uenv; run scan_disk; run set_bootargs; run bootcmd_exec bootcmd_exec=run load_uimage; if run load_initrd; then if run lby camstar - Debian
Hi, Tried to install Debian on the pogoplug V2 following the tutorial. Got the new u-boot installed and the latest Debian on an USB-Stick. But I run into a problem I could not find any reference to. Booting seems succesfull until I run into CRC errors. I'm thrown back to initramfs. I think the CRC errors occur because the rootfs partition is not accesible/available. U-Boot 2017by camstar - Debian
