I modified u-boot to use 256mb of ram using existing NSA325 configs and compiled it (I used crosstool -ng to build toolchain). It worked, U-Boot showed 256MiB at start. However after trying to to apt update, linux hanged. I started to think that maybe there is a problem with PIC16F uC wihich is mounted on PCB so I tried to read flash to check if maybe corrupted and resets 88F6282. Unfortunatellyby Nefarious19 - Debian
This u-boot does not work. There is no u-boot console displayed after sending image. I don't know if that's a problem but DS411j have diferent SoC and less DRAM. Find attached file. Also slim has DDR3 and j has DDR2by Nefarious19 - Debian
Ok, yesterday was crazy day but today I'm back with logs you asked: NSA325> printenv arcNumber=4495 baudrate=115200 bootcmd=run bootcmd_uenv; run scan_disk; run set_bootargs; run bootcmd_exec; reset bootcmd_exec=run load_uimage; if run load_initrd; then if run load_dtb; then bootm $load_uimage_addr $load_initrd_addr $load_dtb_addr; else bootm $load_uimage_addr $load_initrby Nefarious19 - Debian

Hi, few days ago my Synology DS411 slim got bricked. After few restarts kernel booted from flash but it hang and some point. I made flash dump using md.b and I captured it using minicom. Then I edited img file, I replaced ramdisk and zimage and flashed to serial flash using u-boot. I uploaded img file using tftboot. After this operation. DS411 slim is not booting at all.
