Hello, I try to set up ipv6 connection, but it does not work. It already does not like the "inet6" directive in the etc/network/interfaces. What am doing wrong? I found it! Never ever use powerline! The out-of-the-box debian works fine with ipv6, but the powerline-connection to my broom-room has eaten broadcasts. Conclusion: Use a networkcable.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Hello! I have a truecrypt mounted partition and when I have heavy access like copying/moving/deleting or only accessing them while indexing them with minidlna , it hangs and slows down the whole system. System load goes up and up. Today I catched the system with a load of 30 and raising. Only solution at the moment is to unplug the device as reboot does not work either. The partition type is exby gurkendoktor - Debian
Where did you got 1.6? I just tried the 1.8rc version, it has the same problem compiling the libgsm-stuff because of the architecture.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Ok, I understand. But I need isdn-interconnection with chan_lcr/misdnv2, is this possible in 1.4 already? Or should I wait for 1.8 or even try one of the release candidates?by gurkendoktor - Debian
Hello, I know there is a ready-made package that I could install. But thats only version 1.4 and not 1.6. I tried to compile asterisk from scratch, but after a while, it fails with an error: src/add.c -> src/add.o Assembler messages: Error: unknown architecture `armv5tel' Error: unrecognized option -march=armv5tel src/add.c:1: error: bad value (armv5tel) for -march= switchby gurkendoktor - Debian
I have an old 900GHz computer running as my mailserver at the moment and I like to replace the system with my dockstar. At the moment, I am using a combination of: - fetchmail - exim - spamd - imapd (ancient version) I would like to replace the imapd with dovecot, but I am not sure if I should replace exim and which alternatives are possible.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Hello! Whats about making playlists? Doesn't this fit to your needs?by gurkendoktor - Debian
Hello, I have a few harddisks formated with truecrypt. Now I am curious if its possible to get truecrypt running on the dockstar and how it performs. UPDATE: I compiled truecrypt7 directly on the dockstar and managed to mount a crypted ntfs-volume. Via Samba on Gbit-LAN I get a throuput of 6Mbit/s compared to about 20Mbit/s. Its much slower, but not useless slow.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Thank you, Sir! I installed it yesterday and since then, it works great. I have 2 internet radios in use here and it was no problem to get them connected. The system load is low and the device is still spinning down the harddisk. With the other programs, it seems to run day and night.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Many many thanks! That minidlna sounds promising! How can I get it running on the dockstar? It says it works on netgear devices. I do not need a webfrontend, I just like to have my media served to two internet-radios.by gurkendoktor - Debian
Hello! I just installed debian on the dockstar and so far, it works very nice. Now I wanted to enhance the system by installing "mediatomb" via apt. I have thousands of digicam-pictures and a few hundred mp3. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be very stable. After starting, the load goes up to 3-4 and keeps burning the cpu even after several hours. I tried gmediaserver, but thatby gurkendoktor - Debian
