As I understand it this isn't a function of u-boot, the Allwinner H3 processor itself will attempt to boot from microSD before booting from the internal flash. So if there is a valid u-boot on the microSD it will boot this 1stby rayknight - Off-Topic

Like bodhi I have a Linux Mint VM on MacOS as my primary system (a 27" IMac with 3.4 GB i7 processor and 32GB RAM). All my other systems are running either Debian (sometimes Armbian) or OpenWrt, although I've started to migrate some of the OpenWrt systems to LEDE. I also have an Ubuntu VM because that is what works best with the Armbian build system. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic

The Allwinner H3 devices are set up to boot from microSD 1st if they find a proper u-boot on the microSD, so the image supplied by Armbian boots without any issues. Then the nand-sata-install script will set up the internal nand correctly and cby rayknight - Off-Topic
Just received a Beelink X2 I ordered from eBay for $29.92 with free shipping. Downloaded Armbian and flashed the image to a microSD card, rebooted and ran the nand-sata-install script. Configuring the wireless was simple and now I have a Quad Core Arm system with 1GB RAM, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a microSD slot and a free 10/100 Ethernet port. Mini PCI-E to PCI-E Express 1X Extension Cord Adapter Card with USB Riser Card on Amazon provides not only for "Full-size MiniCard adapter but also Half-size MiniCard by removing extra Full-size extensions." It also says "As PCI Express x1 connector is edge-free / multi-lane, x4, x8 and x16 PCIe Cards are also available. " I think I'll order one to try with my iconnect!by rayknight - Off-Topic

The Iomega Iconnect is another excellent bargain which occasionally pops up on ebay. I got mine for $20 and there is now one listed for about that when you include shipping. Ebay listing. They more often are listed for $50 or more though.by rayknight - Off-Topic

The important part is as follows: Serial This is the smaller, 4-pin connector. The layout is: Pin Line 1 GND 2 RX (pulled up to 3.3V) 3 TX 4 3.3V What is meant by pulled up to 3.3V for RX? I have tried connecting to pins 1 thru 3 with the same PL2303 based USB Serial adapter I've used with multiple other Marvell based hardware and I get no output. I assume you mean the Pogoplug V3 as the original Pogoplug doesn't have eSATA. I've not tried the SATA on a DreamPlug, but I expect it to perform comparable to the SATA on the Seagate GoFlex home which uses the same processor. The DreamPlug however has twice the RAM. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic

My DreamPlug from this sale arrived today. It is an unused old stock unit as it is the older V9. I already had a V12 unit and another V9. Haven't yet determined what exactly are the differences between V9 and V12. GlobalScale Technologies mentions differences between V9 and V10, but doesn't say anything about the V12 or other versions. I'm trying to create a uboot for my Kurobox-Pro. I accidentally overwrote mtd0, so if the device goes down I'm hosed as the binary image can't be found online! I have the original source code, but I have been unsuccessful in building it because it doesn't mention what tools were used or required and it fails to build with current tools.
