Thank you for both replies. I guess I will stay with debian when I receive the pogoplug. Would have been nice if I can order another dockstar for $25.by funtoy1001 - Debian
I have a dockstar with debian running already. I also order a pogoplug (mainly because it has 256 MB of RAM) to "play with". Plugbox linux claims it is fast because it is made for these devices, is it faster than the debian I have on dockstar? In terms of apps (samba, torrent, usenet download and maybe asterisk), which one should I go with?by funtoy1001 - Debian
I have mod'd a Seagate DockStar with Uboot and installed debian on a USB stick. I also ordered a Pogoplug to play with. Can I copy the usb stick from my dockstar to another usb stick and use it on the pogoplug? Thanks.by funtoy1001 - Debian

If I want to buy one now, what key words should I use to have a better chance of getting a "hackable" one?by funtoy1001 - Displays

shouldn't fw_setenv and fw_printenv be available if I installed uboot using the guide at http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/?by funtoy1001 - uBoot
Because my dockstar don't consistenly up debian on a USB HDD, I want to setup netconsole with fw_setenv command. However, it complains that it can't find fw_setenv as follow: -bash: fw_setenv: command not found It can't be found under /usr/bin either. Did I miss something?by funtoy1001 - uBoot
No, I have not tried vim because I am using nano. I just surprised why cursor keys work when in non-insert mode but not in insert mode. I just installed vim and it works and has no issues with cursor keys! Thanks.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Installed uboot with http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/ installed debian squeeze with http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/ reboot to debian fine but have an issue with vi When I start vi from putty on a Win7 machine, I can use the cursor keys to move around on my file. However, I can't do that any more if vi is in insert mode. upper arrow will insert a blank line over the cursor and disby funtoy1001 - Debian
