Took much longer than anticipated, but finally had the time to test this out. I had compiled my kernel with support for the chipset, so that was pretty sure going to work. What was a major pain in the you know what was the maintenance under windows. I mean the actual setup of a Raid1 array, and even before that updating the firmware. Besides that I can use the Sil5744 Raid1, connected viaby ingmar_k - Debian
Does "dd" ring a bell? The system shouldn't really care if it's a USB stick or a actual hdd. Both will be detected as /dev/sdx anyway. So, give it a try. Download the image, extract the .img file and copy it to your hdd via dd. ;-) The description only applies to using linux of course.by ingmar_k - Debian
Yeah, I was not in a hurry concerning the pic frames, so I just contacted the support recently and am now waiting for what they'll do. I did actually recieve something (a mini spycam shaped like a car keyring). The thing is, I didn't even order that at all. :-D Anyway, seeing that some people already were successful with these pic frames, I just found the following link and regret noby ingmar_k - Displays

You can get a working image for copying onto your usb stick online. ;) There are some links in another thread around here.by ingmar_k - Debian
BTW, any news on the Appotech AX20x devices? I just received a white 2.4" pic frame based on that chipset today, which would fit he dockstar perfectly.by ingmar_k - Displays
OK, so now I finally registered here and thought that maybe some poeple running emdebian could be interested. You can get my kernel-config and my new small 2.6.37 kernel deb-package here: http://www.hs-augsburg.de/~ingmar_k/emdebian/ For the kernel installation just follow jeff's instructions!by ingmar_k - Debian
