Hi, Is Wake-on-lan (WOL) supported by the ethernet card in Dockstar ? What about USB-WIFI plugged in Dockstar - does is support WOL ? Regards, Adam.by bedek - Debian
Hi, I would like to replace my card with other (more stable) USB WIFI card, could you create a list of USB WIFI cards which: - are fully stable (work for more then 10 hrs without any problems) - have full open source support - work in USB 2.0 mode - opearatin in 54 M speed Regards, Adam. PS Similla idea as in http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,1915by bedek - Debian
Works greate - just one note - when you updating fstab then set partitions to /dev/sda.. and not to /dev/sdc... like it was mounted in the system which I've used to copy files from my pen drive to hdd.by bedek - Debian

Hi, I assume that the procedure you mentioning here is: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,563,999#msg-999 but it looks like it's not working correctly according to: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,563,1068#msg-1068 that's why I'm bit confused.by bedek - Debian

I would like to buyt 500G Seagate FreeAgent Go external hard drive and would like to install Debian on it, before I will do it I've few questions: - are there any problem with this type of hard drives for example they can't be used for cold boot ? - are they noisy ? - do you have some comparation how much energy use Dockstar with Pendrive vs with USB HDD connected ? - is Debian inby bedek - Debian
@OldSchool Just stupid question - I'm sure you did it but just to make sure - did you set your partition as bootable ?by bedek - Debian
@OldSchool I think that the link which I've send you for using 'netconsole' might require some mechanical intervention - I would rather like to avoid it :) I think there must be better way for doing it.by bedek - Debian
@archat68 Probably I've come across this same issue - by accident I've turned of my Dockstar and I think from that moment I can't boot from USB. Did you solved your problem without reinstalling whole system ? How did you configured Dockstar to use 'netcat' and see booting sequence log ?by bedek - Debian
@OldSchool If you decide to use 'netconsole' could you please send on forum simple step-by-step instruction how to configure and use it - page which I've send you in previous post is not describing this process clearly for me.by bedek - Debian
@OldSchool Re: Could someone provide something like that? Are you think asking here about logs/console dump from script installation process ? If yes then sorry I don't have any. Re: Are there any boot logs on pogoplug? Are you thinking about logs which are stored in process of booting when you USB device with Debian is plugged in but it is not booting to Debian but instead to origiby bedek - Debian
@OldSchool Where you able to boot to your debian ever ? I was using http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/ script to install squeeze. I'm not sure what happen but initially I was able to boot to debian (only from warm boot) but from few days I'm unable to boot to debian any more - probably my pen drive broke down or my dockstar was hacked ?by bedek - Debian
I had similar problem. But when I tried to rerun this same scrip everything went fine.by bedek - uBoot
I will also add to list of 'Not Recognized from cold start': USB Flash Memory Kingston DT100 8GBby bedek - uBoot
Same problem with: Kingston DataTraveler 100 USB flash drive - 8 GB it allows to boot Debian only from warm start.by bedek - uBoot
Thanks, You right ! - now I remembered that this pendrive is also not recognized by my media centre on cold boot. I will buy Sand Disk Cruzer.by bedek - Debian
Hi, I have followed this instruction: http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/ I tried few times and each time I had information that the installation was successful but still this same problem occurs (cold boot starts original pogo operating system and only the warm boot allows me to start Debian from USB pendrive). If it is problem with the type of pendrive can you advice me what brandsby bedek - Debian
Hi, I've very similar problem, I've just used installation method from http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/ everything went fine, the only issue which I've is that cold boot starts original pogo operating system and only the warm boot allows me to start Debian from USB pendrive. To be able to start Debian from cold boot do I've have to: - have USB pendrive plugged in certainby bedek - Debian
