Thanks Bodhi, Your right, after giving the drive more power via plugging both ends of the "Y" usb cable in, it hasn't happened again. I also tuned the network and samba config as recommended in this article and seems like it's running smoothly now (no more network crash). https://linuxengineering.wordpress.com/2014/08/03/performance-tuning-with-pogoplug-v4/ Thanks!by jmandawg - Debian
So i have a oxnas pogo pro, when i transfer a large number of large files to the pogo my open vpn times out and my network connection dies. I also see this in the serial console (my rootfs drive is connected to the sata port): [ 362.200133] sata_oxnas: resetting SATA core [ 362.560099] ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen [ 362.567132] ata1.00: failed commanby jmandawg - Debian
Will this package work on the pogo pro (oxnas). I already have trasmission/openvpn/samba running on it, not sure if i can push it much further.by jmandawg - Debian
Thanks for the updated kernel, just installed seems to be working great.by jmandawg - Debian
Yeah, i tried a usb stick as well, and nothing seems to work, Unless you have a u-boot with debug logging enabled. i'm just going to switch back to ext3. Thanks for the help.by jmandawg - uBoot
It was quick for the 50Gb partition 1, but took a long time for the 1.45TB partition 2 (10 minutes or more)by jmandawg - uBoot
Just quick update, i copied the uImage to the root of the drive and it was able to read it from there, but for some reason it can't read inside the directories: OX820> load ide 0:1 0x60500000 /uImage 4100416 bytes read in 1855 ms (2.1 MiB/s) OX820> load ide 0:1 0x60500000 /boot/uImage ** File not found /boot/uImage **by jmandawg - uBoot
So it's weird, ext4ls shows the root directory structure, but won't show any files inside the folders: OX820> ext4ls ide 0:1 /bin <DIR> 0 . <DIR> 4096 .. OX820> ext4ls ide 0:1 / <DIR> 4096 . <DIR> 4096 .. <DIR> 16384 lost+found <DIR> 0 lib <DIR> 0 opt <DIR> 0 ruby jmandawg - uBoot
i did, and i saw lazy init running, but i think it was on the larger partition (2). Just to be safe, i reformatted both partitions with: mkfs.ext4 -E lazy_itable_init=0,lazy_journal_init=0 /dev/sdfx created label rootfs on sdf1 copied the rootfs over, synced and tried again: OX820> ide reset Reset IDE: Bus 0: OK Device 0: Model: TOSHIBA MQ01ABby jmandawg - uBoot
Still getting file not found this is with it hooked up to the sata port: OX820> ide reset Reset IDE: Bus 0: OK Device 0: Model: TOSHIBA MQ01ABC150 Firm: AQ001U Ser#: 83L5PM3IT Type: Hard Disk Supports 48-bit addressing Capacity: 1430799.3 MB = 1397.2 GB (2930277168 x 512) OX820> ide part Partition Map for IDE device 0 -- Partition Tby jmandawg - uBoot
Sorry i meant i switched it back from ext4 to ext2 (which works) to get it setup, i've also tried ext3 which also works, but ext4 does not work. I just Reformatted the first partition back to ext4 and copied the rootfs back onto it and set the label to rootfs and here is the output of the boot: U-Boot 2015.10-tld-2 (Oct 21 2017 - 22:00:02 -0700) OXNAS OX820 DRAM: 128 MiB NAND: 1by jmandawg - uBoot
