Hi bodhi, What would be the procedure for Seagate Dockstar? Or more specifically migrating from non-FDT uBoot 2011 to a newer uBoot that does support FDT. Thanks.by duduke - uBoot
Hi bodhi, Are you/davy any closer to an FDT compatible uboot for DockStar?by duduke - Debian
Do you have swap enabled? I was seeing seg faults on my debian wheezy when using deluge (torrent client), adding a 256MB swap solved everything. here's a small script I saw that enables swap on another drive: # Disable all existing swap swapoff -a # Pre-allocate the space to use as the swap file. The example below # creates a 256MB swap file on the mounted drive (count=256x102by duduke - Debian
bodhi, How can I revert to Arch uBoot if I've already installed davy's uBoot on my PPV4?by duduke - uBoot
That's OK, thanks anyway. I will try to load Davy's experimental uBoot for the PPV4.by duduke - uBoot
Have you tried a new USB stick? Also, I think that the ALARM uBoot and Jeff's uBoot are different. Debian boots a uImage and uInitrd whereas ALARM only boots uImage. But I think I need an experts opinion :) Alas, I don't think any expert is reading the forum ATM.by duduke - uBoot
I think the instructions will overwrite my ALARM uBoot, and since its a V4, that is not a really good idea. I've used the process outlined in: . Keep in mind, this installs an ALARM uBoot, and not Jeff/Davy.by duduke - uBoot
Works great every time. BTW, I'm using the top usb2 with a Sandisk cruzer fit. P.S. can you help me with my question?by duduke - uBoot
Hi, I'm a long time user of Dockstar + Jeff/davy uBoot + debian. I've recently purchased a new PogoPlug V4 and could not find an accurate guide for install Jeff/Davy's uBoot on it (and thus debian as well) so, i've resorted to ALARM (archLinux Arm). I'm really struggling with ArchLinux (I am way more comfortable with Debian/Ubuntu), any good guide on converting my Arby duduke - uBoot
Following an upgrade of uBoot, I have successfully upgraded my Docstar to kernel 3.2.0-2 (latest wheezy). Thanks for the great work guys.by duduke - uBoot
Is this newer uboot install can be used to install >3.2 kernels?by duduke - uBoot
Is there a procedure for upgrading to the new (davygravy's) u-boot from an already working debian wheezy running on a Seagate Dockstar?by duduke - uBoot
Free up some RAM (stop some services) and run the command again.by duduke - uBoot
Success ! I've followed the simple guidelines of replacing squeeze with wheezy within /etc/apt/sources.list and then apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade Upgrade went smoothly (besides 2 UUID questions mentioned on this thread to which i've answered "Yes"). I'm now running Kernel 3.0.0.1 under Debian Wheezy (woo hoo!)by duduke - Debian
