what is the maximum size drive that a nsa320 will acceptby rray - Off-Topic
it might save some other folks a bit of time if you added this to you installation instructions as something to look out for thanks for all your work and helpby rray - Debian
that did it i've been chase'n my tail for nearly a week thanksby rray - Debian
i have 2 drives. on both drives partition 1 is boot, 2 is root, 3 is swap, and 4 is data. they are raid 1 and encrypted. md2_crypt is root, md3_crypt is swap, and md4_crypt is data. for some reason dur'n the upgrade from wheezy to stretch the system decided to make the first raid md125 and the second raid md126 but they still get mapped as md2 and md3. md2_crypt will only be created after iby rray - Debian
i reset everything, i think, and loaded your 5.7.1 packageby rray - Debian
i set up my nsa320 in 2013 with an encrypted root on the hard drives use'n kernel 3.4.4 and debian wheezy. it has served well for many years. i thought i would bring it up to date so i upgraded to stretch. still use'n the 3.4.4 kernel everything works ok. i thought i would push my luck and upgrade the kernel. i followed the instructions at Quotehttps://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,12096by rray - Debian
This is probably not strictly a Debian question but I have compiled a 10.0 kernel for guruplug. Runs ok except there is no display during the boot sequence when init steps through the run levels Like the console is not being passed to init Obviously a config parameter I failed to set Config attached Any pointers?by rray - Debian
I thought I should ask before I screw this up. I have a new uboot that I load with kwboot. It works fine and I want to write it to nand. I see many references to write it after loading with tftp but not kwboot. Can I do this? How? This is to a Guruplug. Richardby rray - uBoot
I specifically am using the 88F6281 So is there a fix availableby rray - Debian
I have seen in several places that the hardware checksum is slow and I can verify that it is I have not found why Can anyone elaborate Just curious Richardby rray - Debian
Search as I might I can not find info for using guruplug as an access point with any but the factory installation I am running wheezy with sheeva-with-linux 3.7.1 Can someone point me to a howto Richardby rray - Debian
On Guruplug I have Wheezy running on a usb drive. How can I mount my nand root partition. I am running sheeva-with-linux kernel 3.7.1. # cat /proc/mtd dev: size erasesize name mtd0: 00100000 00020000 "u-boot" mtd1: 00400000 00020000 "uImage" mtd2: 1fb00000 00020000 "root" # mtdinfo -a Count of MTD devices: 3 Present MTD devices:by rray - Debian
I compiled a new u-boot with no problems. I can use kwboot to load it and boot my kernel but I can not seem to get it properly loaded into flash. I followed this make mrproper make nsa320_config make u-boot.kwb dd if=u-boot.kwb of=uboot.mtd0.kwb bs=512k conv=sync NSA320> tftpboot 0x800000 uboot.mtd0.kwb Using egiga0 device TFTP from server 192.168.1.101; our IP address is 192.168.1by rray - uBoot
Yes Ubuntu uses the Linaro and I tried that first. Then I tried CodeSourcery to cross-compile u-boot and that also failed. Then I tried ELDK and that worked. I have no doubt that I am doing something wrong because I can cross-compile a kernel with Linaro and it works great. Just not for u-boot.by rray - uBoot
I am running Ubuntu 10.04 and trying to compile a new uboot for nsa320. Compiling a kernel works great but the same proceedure for uboot gives no errors but does not produce a usable u-boot.kwb. For kernel install build-essential & gcc-arm-linux-gnueabi- and to build ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabi- make uImage works but ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabi- make u-boot.kwbby rray - uBoot
First let me say this all may seem a bit useless but to me it is more about the how and why than just following a recipe. Thanks for your patience. The version of uboot that comes installed on my nsa320 will not boot from usb. I wish to be able to boot from usb device and retain the original Zyxel installed software, except for uboot. Why, just because I should be able to. If I use kwboot to loadby rray - uBoot
I have a new Zyxel NSA320. It is unmodified. At the uboot prompt I printenv and save all environment variables. Next I pulled code from https://github.com/psch2/uboot-nsa320, compiled and used kwboot to load new uboot. No problems so far. Now if I reload all environment variables I saved and boot the kernel loads but does not execute. Any ideas? NSA320> boot NAND read: device 0 offset 0xby rray - uBoot
I am trying to bring up a new nsa320. From the indicator lights it appears to be up but the starter utility finds nothing. I am running the startup utility under wine. Is that a problem? I have dhcp set up on my router but still no luck. Richardby rray - Off-Topic
Replacing is easy. I just need to get one and open it up again. If anyone has a bit of knowledge with these I would like to add a sata connector and could use advise. I have pictures of both board but no schematics.by rray - Debian
Would you point to or post details/photos where to connect to boardby rray - Debian
I have opened it and it does have a small cell on the board. I guess Globalscale is selling them with dead batteries. Is there any way to tell when it was manufactured?by rray - Debian
I noticed that if my Guruplug is not connected to power for a couple of days it looses its time setting. I just got it 3 weeks ago. Is this a setting I need to adjust? Surely the battery is not dead already. Richardby rray - Debian
Where can I find a serial cable for the console or do I have to make one? Richardby rray - Debian
I know this is hardware related but the only hardware forums I find are full of people like myself who only have questions. I have a Guruplug standard without the sata connector. I would like to add one. Has anyone done this? I read http://www.plugcomputer.org/plugforum/index.php?topic=927.30 and I think this would be much easier. Dmesg shows a active sata subsystem so maybe it would be as simplby rray - Debian
