I believe the one that actually worked is very close to what LeggoMyEggo has pictured. It is a SanDisk SDSA5DK-032G-1016 VER:10.56.00. As stated above I also tried the following without success: Sandisk X300 MSATA 128GB SD7SF6S-128G-1012 FW: X3300012 Micron M550 mSATA SSD 64GB SATA Model: MTFDDAT064MAY F/W: MU02 Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
For the Kirkwood based systems I have booting from SD I'm not really concerned about performance so I just use a decent quality class 10 SD card. I installed Armbian on the internal flash of my Beelink X2. My ODroid boxes I shelled out the extra money for the eMMC drives for those. I have a Pine A64+ also and I use the Armbian recommended Samsung EVO microSD on that. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
I have acquired a Sheevaplug and I just tried installed the latest uboot 2016.05-tld-1. I then tried to boot an SD with the Debian root file system from the Debian section of this forum. It appears that the Sheevaplug version of uboot is missing at least the mmc and load commands. See the following log from attempting to boot the SD card after successful install of uboot and the uboot.2016.0by rayknight - uBoot
This is the same mod that LeggoMyEggo posted about in Pogoplug Pro / V3 Internal SSD Mod. So it should already be in the wiki. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
Just booted uboot via kwboot and then booted from SD card on one of these units and noticed it appears to be running at 1GHz instead of the 800Mhz. So it appears that perhaps another modification is a faster clock. This can also be seen in the following line from the above log: CPU running @ 1000Mhz L2 running @ 500Mhz Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
Earlier this year I made an ebay purchase of 10 pogoplug mobiles that had been used by Smartenit - Making your world smarter and greener The units had what appeared to be a wifi antenna added just above the reset button. These had been modified to run some type of management system and I hadn't been able to figure out how to crack access to the simple web page it hosted, so I set aside unby rayknight - Off-Topic
No response from anyone on this issue, but another data point from me. I was successful in using an older SanDisk 32GB MSATA SSD. Not sure why the larger SanDisk and the Micron cause timeout issues.by rayknight - Off-Topic
I have finally gotten around to trying to use the SATA to mSATA adapter on one of my PogoPlug Pros. I have been using this system with an eSATA drive successfully for over a year. I first used a USB to SATA adapter to connect the mSATA to SATA adapter with a SanDisk X300 MSATA 128GB SSD as /dev/sdb. I used fdisk to create the /dev/sdb1 partition and then formatted as ext3 with rootfs label andby rayknight - Off-Topic
I have an old 27" Toshiba LCD TV with HDMI input that I use with my Beelink X2 as I found that my DVI monitor wouldn't sync properly. I've not had much success with DVI to HDMI adapters.by rayknight - Allwinner A10
Joey, What type of monitor are you using with the Beelink X2? If it's not an HDMI monitor you will have issues using Armbian.by rayknight - Allwinner A10
I believe that is based on the same reference design used for the original Chromecast and Google TV. The actual processor is the Marvell 88DE3100. Linux support for the processor was added in late 2013. The linux kernel designates this as part of the Marvell Berlin series of processors.by rayknight - Off-Topic
Down for me also. However depending on what you are looking for there is a list of other linux-kernel archives. A few of these archives appear to be current.by rayknight - Off-Topic
This device was the original hardware for which FreedomBox was originally targeted. It also originally shipped with an earlier version of Debian. If the unit is still running the original firmware the U-Boot will need to be replaced, so you'll need serial access. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic

The last column in the passwd file is the default user shell. So if you want to change the default shell for the root user you would modify the entry for root in the passwd file so that the last column would be /bin/ash or /bin/hush. You'll want to ensure that the shell binary is in the /bin directory. If it is in a different directory just modify the path appropriately. Rayby rayknight - Debian

Joey, I'd be interested in what chip is actually on the troublesome USB 3.0 mpcie card. The GL830 is a USB 2.0 to SATA bridge chip that has been noted as having poor performance and other issues. Search the Armbian forums for details. It could be that they also have a PCIe to USB 3.0 bridge chip that also has performance issues. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
When looking at any USB to SATA expansion board pay close attention to the chipset used as anything using the Genesis Logic GL830 is going to be complete crap. Rayby rayknight - Off-Topic
And another ebay find $13.50 with shipping and it arrived with keyboard, mouse and DVI to VGA adapter! This is an HP t5335z which has a 1 GHz Marvell ARM Armada 510, 1 GB DDR3 RAM, 512MB Flash, 4 USB 2.0, headphone and microphone jacks, and Gigabit Ethernet. I just acquired another HP Thin Client that can be hacked to run Debian. The HP t410 Zero Thin Client is running a TI TMS320DM8148 @ 1GHz (similar processor to the Beaglebone Black) it has 1 GB RAM and 4 GB NAND with VGA and DisplayPort and 4 USB Ports. I'll be building a kernel to this weekend as there is already a DTS file available dm8148-t410.dts! There's also an AllInOne verby rayknight - Off-Topic

You'll need to get access to the serial console. If you've installed armbian then you are likely using U-boot 2016.09. Armbian has a boot.scr in the /boot directory that can modify how u-boot loads kernel and ramdisk. The boot.cmd file contains a user readable version of this script. Modifications are written to the boot.scr file by running the following command: # mkimage -C none -A arm -T script -d /boot/boot.cmd /boot/boot.scrby rayknight - Allwinner A10
That's normally the price for the pcDuino3 Nano which is a smaller form factor board from the same manufacturer that doesn't have the on board WiFi.
