has run debian about one year as raspberry pi's system disk, died. many years ago, also use CF as system disk, also about one year, died. seems sd card not as durable as nand or emmc. highly recommended to backup image if your device using sd card as system disk. Someone also said another reason shortening sd card life was system writing log too frequent.by asterix - Off-Topic

considering the performance and costs, I think Orange pi one has the best value in the market, only 10 dollar (HDMI output and 512MB memory), but overall orange pi less community contribution comparing with raspberry pi. Their official image also awful. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Orange-Pi-One-ubuntu-linux-and-android-mini-PC-Beyond-and-Compatible-with-Raspberry-Pi-2/1553371_3by asterix - Off-Topic

still prefer orange pi one , only $13.88 including shipping, more flexible. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Orange-Pi-Zero-H2-Quad-Core-Open-source-development-board-beyond-Raspberry-Pi/32760774493.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.9.4a107b82XQv5bw&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10152_10151_10701_10065_10344_10130_10068_10547_10342_10343_10340_10548_10341_10696_10084_10083_1061by asterix - Off-Topic

no worth to spend much time on these devices without official/community support. If the cost is main reason, just go to single board computer like orange pi, nanopi, chip, raspberry pi, could install whole linux OS on them, little more expensive to buy sd card, power adapter, but more flexible , more fun.by asterix - Off-Topic

currently no device can beat "orange pi" if need a debian servver, the cheapest one: Zero with 256MB memory and WIFI only $6.99, should rank No.1 on cost-efficiency. Got 512MB zero and 1GB pc from Aliexpress.com. Both works well.by asterix - Off-Topic
