I am now using a serial connection. I'd like to use several "Goflex Home" units connected to a gigE switch as a single file system that is striped with parity, (like RAID 4 or RAID 5). Do they have enough cpu power and ram? What do I need to do to set this up, and what filesystem is best to use?by Cassie - Off-Topic

Yes I know that thise are examples. My point is that I don't know how to make a 1 to 1 correlation with my IP's from the fw_printenv the output: ethaddr="02:50:43:26:87:63" ... > ipaddr="10.0.1.14" > ncip="10.0.1.13" > ncipk="10.0.1.12" ... I had my GoFlex Home working on USB, but then I installed the Rescue System into NAND using Jeff's script. I tried to reboot into the Rescue System , but the green light just kept flashing, after about an hour, I tried to boot from first my Debian USB, then My Arch Linux USB. in both cases green light went solid, but the light on the USB stick kept flashing non stop. One important detail I forgot to mention: Before trying the squeeze install, I tried the wheezy install, but it failed - FATAL: kernel too old. So I erased the root parrtition on my USB stick, and then did the squeeze install. I didn't do anything else, to revert changes made by the wheezy install script.
