It's too late now. :D I tried to upgrade kernel in the meantime and borked the rootfs. Now I'm making the new one. :(by kalehrl - uBoot
Hi bodhi It's me again. :D I'm trying to update uboot but it doesn't work. When I run flash_unlock /dev/mtd0 I get: flash_unlock: error!: could not unlock device: /dev/mtd0 error 95 (Operation not supported) Any ideas what may be causing it?by kalehrl - uBoot
Thank you very much for your kind support, bodhi.by kalehrl - Debian
I've decided to trash the faulty unit. It's no use trying to make it work since RAM is bas so you never know when it may freeze. I guess all parts are soldered to the motherboard so I can't salvage anything for spare parts?by kalehrl - Debian

I did step 4 on the good box and still no luck:by kalehrl - Debian
Yes. But I did step 4 before using the USB flash drive in the bad box.by kalehrl - Debian
I did rootfs on my linux virtual machine and it works fine in the good box so I think that can't be the issue. I see hp uboot has some tests like 'mtest' to test RAM so I'll run them.by kalehrl - Debian
Yes, that's all. Funny thing is, the other, working hp t5325 also won't boot with the USB flash prepared with step 4. I used my x86 virtual machine to make the step 4 modification. Maybe I need to use the hp t5325 itself?by kalehrl - Debian
Shall I replace kirkwood-goflexnet.dtb in the instructions with kirkwood-t5325.dtb? I replaced it, I guess that should be done. QuoteThe problem booting above is most likely that the stock rootfs was corrupted. And we need to reflash that only. I've already flashed the unit with hp recovery files and it seemed to go fine, the unit booted once or twice but it froze shortly afterwards. After that, it wouldn't boot at all. This is a follow-up from here: https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,72,36528#msg-36528 I managed to move rootfs to internal flash with minimum effort. Does anyone know how to put the rootfs in internal flash of hp t5325? I've managed to trim down the original rootfs to 300MB so it can fit the internal flash.by kalehrl - Debian

Sorry but what exactly is picocom? I had a quick look on the net and it seems to be a minimal terminal emulator. I currently use lxterminal as terminal emulator to read the serial log from the hp t5325. Could you please be more specific? Thank you.by kalehrl - Debian
haha, ok, so much fun with these devices. :D I've got a couple of hp t5740 and they are plain boring compared to these ones. :)by kalehrl - Debian
The other device boots fine with kwboot. I guess this one is broken beyond repair.by kalehrl - Debian
I didn't try kwboot on the other device because I installed the uboot from the stock hp os.by kalehrl - Debian

I just tried it and I can't interrupt the kwboot, not even when it's near 99%. It is simply unresponsive. Even ctr+c doesn't do anything, I have to close terminal.by kalehrl - Debian
