I used ARMedSlack and although I don't use the 2 partition solution any more, it is the recommended partitioning scheme in the ARMedSlack installation instructions. The instruction recommends the following scheme: /dev/sda1 /boot 100MB ext2 /dev/sda2 swap /dev/sda3 / ext4 "or your choice" This requires a uboot enviromeby laprjns - uBoot

Davy and Jeff thanks for your replies. I did some more testing this morning and it turns out that there is a difference in the behavior of the -o argument in the nanddump command used in ARMedSlack and the nanddump used is the Rescue System (and I assume Debian). In ARMedSlack the -o argument is used to "Dump OOB data" whereas in the rescue nandump it used to "Omit oob data"by laprjns - uBoot

I just gave the installer a try with a Pogo P21 (E02) and ran into a problem. Here's where I started 1)Pogo P21 (EO2) running ARMedSlack 2)Already had Davys' uboot installed (uboot.mtd0.kwb-2011.12-pogo_e02-L2Coff)using the method in the first post of this thread. From the information posted, it looks to me that: 1) There is no problem with uboot. It seems to be booting off the usb . 2) The usb is being mounted properly 3) the kernel is booting, but its have problem starting various services due to file system permission problems I think that the file system permissions on the piratebox partition are not getting set correctly when you are doing the sby laprjns - uBoot

Sorry about bring up an old thread but I wanted to confirm a few of restamp's findings on bidirectional netconsole communication with a dockstar / PogoPlug V2. I was trying to get a reliable bidirectional netconsole setup before trying to reflash my dockstars and pogoplugs with davygravy's new uboot for the 3.2 kernel but couldn't get uboot to escape out of the count down to the Mby laprjns - uBoot

If your using Jeff's uboot you could also use the usb_custom_params variable. You set can set this variable like this: fw_setenv usb_custom_params=fsprotect=20M On my Dockstars I have added bootargs using this variable.
