Do you have serial connection? (or netconsole)by pazos - Debian
@davygravy, you should NOT change anything in the pogo.kwb header. If you take a look for differences between jeff & ecc dockstar.kwb patches you'll find it in the same way that there are differences between my patch & jeff patch. It could be a good idea keep the files the closest to the mainline u-boot, and submitting new machine's support without many arrangements. Then youby pazos - uBoot
you can use nice +20 to assign just a bit of cpu time per cycle to that task, memory should be less used too..by pazos - Debian
Finally I lent my pogo to a friend for a project. It means that not more testing for a while, I'll follow this post. When davygravy wants to upload a final version (and more than tested) of the file include/configs/dockstar.h I'll port it to support pogo_e02 (and test it, of course) I hope it will be soon :)by pazos - uBoot
Quoteuser=dpffan Since the dockstar doesn't have buttons, I want to 'borrow' the buttons from the Parrot to serve as input. Will probaby need some glue code/shell script . Great idea, I ordered a parrot two days ago and I want to do the same as yours. Can be parrot's buttons readed throught the input layer at /dev/input/eventx ??? it is not difficult to code a pythoby pazos - Displays
QuoteRobert Mugabe Consider the case where a person might want to perform a u-boot resetenv Yes, I didn't think in that posibility... @davygravy: ok! I tested it, you're right. It is enabled by default on all kirkwood devices... I have the same configuration as yours and everything is working right now. Do you expect to change some other variables? Great work davygravy. I'm looking at uboot.mtd0.installer.sh. We must use CONFIG_ENV_OVERWRITE to be able to change ethaddr value as jeff doozan's installer does. Both original pogoplug firmware & jeff's rescue system works on my pogoplug v2. I think that work its done. Thanks for your time Uffff... Did you make a diff between the git repository and the ftp-stable-source??? Asumming that you don't modify any other file than include/configs/dockstar.h , please can you attach this file here. @davygravy: could you post a diff file with your changes over the git files?. I want to follow the same aproach in the pink pogo. If we unify efforts on both devices then we can release a new working u-boot that have been tested. >> If I can just get original uboot.kwb back in NAND, then I should be able to test if it fully has all the capabilities of Jeff's uboot. Sorry, It was a mistake! I can confirm that there are some changes in kwbimage.kwb from jeff's patch to ecc's patch, but forget about diferences in sizes, my fault ;)by pazos - uBoot
@davygravy: you have two enviroments, please: can you look for diferences into ethaddr parameter value. My build have enviroment offset in 0xc0000 as jeff's one. I think as Mugabe, it is better to keep the enviroment in the same place as the old one, to be able to use old enviroment without setting it! OK, i do NOT force anybody to do something that they not want! I just anwser your question about advantages. Anyways mv_cesa depend on the kernel, not uboot. apropos kwb header, it still present on all kirkwood devices. uboot like jeff's one includes old headers and stills works fine, new headers have one more instruccion in ram initialization, but It seems to be affected only when tryingby pazos - Debian
advantages from original: kwb headers are fixed (look here: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.boot-loaders.u-boot/69957 ) early_init is disabled # it means FASTER BOOT support, by default, for iconnect arcnumber it have a clean enviroment instead of a full-of-non-needed-stuff. Hey! Congratulations; Good progress! I have enabled long_help & hush parser too and I have an u-boot 100% compatible with jeff's enviroment except that i can not check for booting original pogo firmware cause I've deleted old pogoplug partitions. I think that jeff uboot stores uboot-mtd0-original in some point at /dev/mtd2 (old pogo firmware). Did you configure mtdids & mtdpby pazos - uBoot
I'm not having any problem, I use debian squeeze with a new self-compiled 3.3rc kernel (kernel headers still old). I've ported both L2_disable.patch & pogoplug_support.patch to the lastest stable u-boot from denx (2011.12). The things seems to work well. It compiles cleanly for both pogo_e02_config & dockstar_config. I'm testing this one on my pink pogo. It is the same oby pazos - uBoot

@davygravy I use the same toolchain as jeff (2009-q3). I build the image under a x86 atom machine, with ubuntu 10.04 installed. I didn't try to load it to ram. @mugabe Did you check your bootcmd ??? It is a needed value for auto-boot. Testing *.kwb's in ram seems to be unsupported Did you try it from openocd or writting in nand?? PD: i have a JTAG Interface for my pogo,by pazos - uBoot
I've build a custom u-boot.kwb based on u-boot-marvell custodian tree. Cause pogo_e02 is not supported you'll need to apply the patch attached here... on your prompt, type: git clone git://git.denx.de/u-boot-marvell.git download patch attached to the same folder and apply it: patch -Np1 -i ../pogo_e02.patch after this type: make mrproper make pogo_e02_config make u-boot.kwby pazos - uBoot

Hey Vlad, congratulations for buying an iconnect !!! I have two and I really suggest you to flash openwrt-kirkwood-iconnect-u-boot.kwb on your device. For those who want a script that control the led system, I've wrote a script that simplifies to make some changes in the led status.
