@bodhi: I reinstalled the rootfs on an old flash drive and it is working now. You are right: I included the DTB in the uImage before. I used the fs as it came and it is booting now. @Joerg: I saw that as well, but after flashing the default env it was OK - which I only could do after I fixed the error Bodhi mentioned. One remark why I likely had the troubles: The SSD I used. It seems to havby rkrug - uBoot

Sorry - I am confused. Yes - I had some problems there and was not sure if it worked. How can I flash the new bootargs? Do I have to set up a rootfs on one drive with ony one partition? Or can I do this from the uBoot prompt?by rkrug - uBoot

I always forget the one step where I have to make the uImage. Shame onm me. I have redone everything, and now I get the following, which is obviously in the Debian installation - so uBoot is working: I have partitioned the disk using three partitions, 1: LABEL= rootfs ext3 2: swap 3 LABEL=data ext4 U-Boot 2015.10-tld-1 (Nov 06 2015 - 15:49:48 -0800) Seagate GoFlex Net SoC:by rkrug - uBoot

OK - updated uBoot, rebooted and attached an ssd with partition 4 active and labeled rootfs. I unzipped the tools into /tmp/tools and tried to run them from there. I'll try the rootfs approach later. Do I have to cheroot into the rootfs for that?by rkrug - uBoot

Hi I just bought a brand new GoFlex net and would like to install uBoot, rescue system and Debian. First step: uBoot. Ill follow to install uBoot. SSH is enabled and working - good. 1) I can write in the /tmp folder - and downloaded and extracted there the bin tools - done. 2) I don't have a /etc/fw_env.config and I can't create it as it is Read-only. stuck very early.by rkrug - uBoot

Thanks for the detailed info - very useful. I have two hdd and one flash drive in the pogoplug, all USB. They have as bus info bus info: usb@1:1.3[\code]. Am I right in assuming that they are on one controller? Hi I would like to make disk access on an E02 faster than using a single flash drive / usb hdd by combining two usb hdd or flash drives as a RAID 0 ( I know that I double my chances of data corruption, but redundancy is not that relevant here, I make daily backups and the files do not change that much - Logitech Media server for music - and access speed is more the issue). No - France. The GoFLEX Home seem to be a) rather expensive here and b) only take one hdd. This one also looks useful. I'll wait till I have my GoFlex net in my hands and take it from there. I'll report back what I decided to do. Thanks.by rkrug - Off-Topic

@LeggoMyEggo: Thanks - very useful information. I'll see which way I'll go - exernal eSATA housing sounds tempting due to the included power supply. If I interpret the picture correctly, an old PC housing is used for the housing and power supply of the hdds - correct? Interesting idea, especially if I can use a multiplier on the SATA ports to connect more than one drive on one port? Depby rkrug - Off-Topic

Hi I just ordered a GoFlex Net for 20 Euro from Amazon.fr - not bad as far as I can see. But I have a question: has anybody experiences with connecting 3.5 hdd to the GoFlex net? AS far as I know, I can use a simple sata cable from the bay to the hdd, but I need a power supply for the hdd. Any suggestions for this? Or is there a better way of connecting two 3.5 hdd to the GoFlex net (obby rkrug - Off-Topic

My first step would be, to look at the messages you get, which you can get via "dmesg" when it does not connect. But I guess, if the Pogo is not connected, you can't do this as you can't access it? If you can (via ethernet), dmesg should give you an idea what is going on. I had a similar question but did not get an answer, but look at http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,2607by rkrug - Debian
