Thanks bodhi I'm not sure where I botched the u-boot install, but glad to know which direction to go to fix it. Quotebodhi Your u-boot envs are incomplete. So it means you have not installed the u-boot default envs image (u-boot installation always needs 2 images, the u-boot image and the u-boot default env image). Hoping to run Debian on a PogoPlug pro I can no longer access my Pogo via SSH and I’m guessing it may be due to using a cheap USB drive. Followed Qii Hong’s guide here: http://blog.qnology.com/2015/04/hacking-pogoplug-v3oxnas-proclassic.html • I had to look around the web, archives, doozan forum, etc for all of the required files. • I realize this will put me on an old version oby cdlenfert - Debian
Hi Bodhi, I'm ready to move on as you put it. I'll take a look at the rootfs first and then see if I can install the new Uboot. My initial reading has me a little confused as it almost seems like you need a new Uboot first. At least in this blog by Qi Hong that's the order he does it in the "Outline of steps" section http://blog.qnology.com/2015/04/hacking-pogoplug-v3oby cdlenfert - Debian
Thanks Ray. I found the file and was able to switch the default editor to ash, however I'm still unable to cycle through my previous commands using the up arrow in my mac terminal Looking at this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_command_shells it seems like ash should support command history, but maybe that's not the same thing as being able to toggle through previous coby cdlenfert - Debian
My PogoPro is using sh as it's default shell (on the stock Pogo OS). It's not saving a command history, but I'd like it to. I was able to see that ash and hush shells are also available. When I switch into one, it saves commands only for that SSH session. Is there a way to set ash or hush to the default, or better yet install and set bash as the default? Thanks for any advice.by cdlenfert - Debian
Thanks for the replies. I'v got my account set up and can follow topics now. Will post my results if I'm able to get Plex running.by cdlenfert - Debian
