install debian on openwrt

install debian on openwrt

hi guys,

i have a pineapple mark V, anf that carp is working on opemwrt,
i add 32 gig sdcard,

and i really want to load debian on the device so i can use like it should so.

i followd that guide
http://projects.doozan.com/debian/

just i tried to that on my sdcard and not on the usbdrive,

anyway got stuck in the middle of the script

First, don't shutdown or power off (you will brick the box). Keep it running until you can recover.

What hardware is "pineapple mark V"? pls post output of

That's definitely not going to work. Your hardware is MIPS, so no u-boot or rootfs from this forum will work.

I've read your installation log again. Looks like your u-boot has not been erased yet. So it is safe to reboot. If that's exactly where you got so far. Sorry for the false alam!

iguessd as much so it well fine and rebooted.

ok now they we know it wont work,whats my options? to run debien on the device?

i dont care to delete the whole FW and start fresh.

Your best bet would be to find a forum that supports this device. Perhaps someone has successfully created a Debian rootfs for it (i.e. starting from scratch will be a lot of works).
