Usually it is just a poor connection on your Tx wire, since your Rx is Ok.

Double check your wire, solder,..

Thanks for your reply.. In my Goip tutorial they mentioned about pl2302 cable
And what I used is cp2102 usb .. Can it be a problem bro!

CP2012 is not a problem. But note that the Rx and Tx are "true" with CP2102. Meaning usually this converter already crossed the wires. With the PL2302 you would connect Tx to Rx and Rx to Tx. With the CP2012 connect Tx to Tx, Rx to Rx.

When in doubt, just swap the Tx and Rx.

I could not say it will work the same or not. Serial console usually the same every where you see them in small ARM boards. And a CP2xxx or PL2xx will work. Just that sometime you're unlucky and got a bad one then it could be a problem. You could loop back the Tx and Rx to see if the wires are OK.

Well, that means your module is good.

- chech the header on the router to see if wire got loosen, or bad soldering.
- chang the baud rate, it could be that the router uses a different one.

In maunal it says to use 38400 braud rate, but when I change it to 115200, and power up the board it restarts my laptop.

also can it be a voltage issue? somehow my laptop is not providing sufficient voltage to board?.

No :) Do not connect 3.3V power.

And Baudrate might even be slower. Try 9600?

bro i bought another usb adapter and tried lower braudrate too it didnot work..

when board is powered on, on multimeter when i place black probe to to gnd and red to RX, it supposed to show any voltage or it would be zero?

on borad black probe on gnd i get readings on two holes out of 3.. just one hole shows zero reading,..

Maybe in the manual they showed wrong ports..

Perhaps if you tell us what device is this, somebody will have an idea.

how to test if TX of board is connected to the right right connected to my usb adapter
Re: uboot input problem

I have same router, I tested it on other router it worked.. however i got 1.8v on rx when board is powered on, which i dont get on this router.. probably this is why I cant send tx from my pc..

Is there any way to recover rx on board..

Thanks

So it's a faulty serial port.
