GoFlex Net not booting from USB Stick. Dockstar does!
January 20, 2013 04:14AM
Hi there!

I am really confused. I have a Debian Wheezy install ready with the 3.3.2 Kernel from davygravy installed. My dockstar boots just fine from the stick but not my GoFlex Net.
After approx. half a minute the LED from the GoFlex stops to blink and is lit up solid green. But no IP on the Network so I am concluding that it didnt boot up into debian from the stick! There are also NO SATA HDDS connected to the SATA Ports. Only the USB Stick containing the Wheezy install.
I will post some Information so you can eventually help me better in this case.

Here first the fw_printenv from the GoFlex Net:

So what could it be? I am really confused. The stick works also just fine with the GoFlex Net where I used previously ArchLinux ARM on it.

I would be really thankful for any kind of help. This setup was really a lot of work but I sadly can not use it on my GoFlex Net.

Thank you in advance!

BigRon,

Check udev to see if it was the problem with using one stick for both systems:
