Updated 19 June 2013: Basic minimal Debian Kirkwood rootfs with kernel 3.8.11 for Dockstar, Pogoplug E02/Mobile/V4, GoFlex Home/Net, iConnect, NSA320. - tarball size: 85M - install size: 311M - a basic squeeze rootfs installed using debootstrap - upgraded to wheezy (see /etc/apt/sources.list) - Installed packages: nano, avahi, ntp, busybox-syslogd (log to RAM), htop - added led controls to /etc/rc.local, and /etc/rc0.d/K07halt - added some useful aliases in /root/.profile - root password: root Download at Dropbox: Debian-3.8.11-kirkwood-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2 md5: 072fb299bf7f74a271522d5f44317692 Installation: - format a new ext3 USB drive, and label it rootfs. Note: if your uBoot env for usb_rootfstype is ext2, then use an ext2 USB drive. - cd to top level directory and extract it (assuming the USB drive is mounted at /media/sdb1) cd /media/sdb1 tar -xjf Debian-3.8.11-kirkwood-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2 sync - reboot
