Unable to Boot Debian on Dockstar
July 22, 2013 01:27PM
All,

Installed the latest UBoot following the instructions listed here, http://projects.doozan.com/uboot/. However, fw_printenv and fw_setenv were installed in /usr/sbin instead of /usr/bin as stated in the documentation. An attempt to reinstall confirmed I have the latest UBoot installed.

## Valid uBoot detected: [dockstar davygravy-2012-02-12-current]

I installed Debian Squeeze successfully following the instructions listed here, http://projects.doozan.com/debian/. On a reboot, the LED glows green before accessing the USB drive. After that it changes to orange. It access the USB drive on more time before it turns green and returns to the Pogoplug prompt.

I attempted a netconsole debug session, but didn't receive any data on the listener. Below is the output of fw_printenv

There was nothing of note in /var/log on the USB device and I run it through fsck with no errors on a separate machine.

What should be my next steps to determining the issue?

I was able to netconsole working and noted it was complaining about no uImage as noted here, http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,11396.

I created the images on my Crunchbang machine and copied the files over. From there I received the following from netconsole

Patricks-MacBook-Pro:062513 pmcdonald$ sudo nc -lu 6666
