Also, I was browsing the forum last night and someone mentioned that they put Alpine on but there was not detail on how it was done. OpenWrt is also interesting but is there way to install to USB than flash?

I've updated the u-boot installation post to include Dropbox links for everything. Looks like I will have to stop using bitly from now on. I need to find a better shortening service.

It's all good. I'm now on the latest uboot, and rebuild a rootfs on a ext4 partition on usb storage.
I do not see kernel boot message in netconsole though. Is it enabled?

I gotta be honest, I've never understood the need for a shortening service. These aren't tweets or text messages limited to a certain length. :-)

As I've mentioned, I use bitly to record the download count. Dropbox does not provide download count. If I see not too many people are intertested in a certain image, then it's something with low priority on my queue.
