usb problems after recent update
June 22, 2014 03:35PM
Not sure where the problem lies but after recent kernel update my dockstar will not cold boot from USB HDD. It goes in to rescue, I issue reboot and then it boots from USB HDD. It also seems that it is unable to initialize my targus usb docking station (it has USB hub with powered ports, sound and VGA). What could be wrong? How do I debug?

metric,

- Set up netconsole (if you don't have serial console):

- Power up and monitor u-boot boot log to see any error during boot.

It is likely a power problem. But best to see the boot process to see if u-boot has failed bring up the hub.
