Debian Squeeze installed successfully but USB wifi dongle issues
August 26, 2010 05:39PM
Has anyone successfully connected a USB wifi adapter to the dockstar? I am interested in compatible USB 802.11b cards to attach to the dockstar.

I successfully installed Debian Squeeze on a 1gb USB stick following the instructions. I had to format the stick on my linux box. Fdisk wouldn't write the partition table when the stick would be plugged in the dockstar,

I had an old DWL-122 802.11b USB dongle around so I wanted to see if it will get recognized. I plugged it in the dockstar.

dmesg on the dockstar:
[ 3298.515907] usb 1-1.2: new full speed USB device using orion-ehci and address 8

# apt-get install usbutils

or look in /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/{manufacturer,product} etc.
