VNC autostart on Dockstar

I installed TightVNC on Debian/Dockstar. It works fine. However, I cannot make it auto start when Dockstar turns on. Put "vncserver :1" in rc.local and rcS does not work. However, when type on the same command on SSH command line, it works fine. I cannot find a solution from Googling. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Try it with the full path included. Find the path with which.

# which vncserver

Based on the results from googling, I verified that adding the following statement works:

#su - root -c "/usr/bin/vncserver :1 &" &

or

#su - root -c "/usr/bin/vncserver :1 > /tmp/vncserver.log 2>&1 &" &
