'arcNumber 3089' on a GoFlex -> everything broken ?

Hi everyone,

First of all, I'm a total newbie to plugcomputing and an 'experimented beginner' in Linux (all flavors). The idea of running a complete Debian on a 5W box was tempting enough to make me buy a GoFlex Net.

Now, what I did, is going through Jeff's script to install a Debian o a USB drive attached to the GoFlex. It went fine. Then I had a look to this thread :

So I've decided to go for that 'fw_setenv arcNumber 3089'. But after reboot I have no more access to the device. It seems booting (disk spins up and works for a while), and the LED blinks green for a few seconds. Then nothing. LED is off, and it probably doesn't get an IP anymore either since I don't see it in my router's attached devices...

Any suggestion ?

Additional info :

The GoFlex end up with a yellow(orange) blinking LED if I try to boot it without the USB disk. When booting with the formerly working USB hd that has the Debian on it, I end up with no LED light, no IP, and no way to get into the device...
