Trashed uboot environment vars
December 11, 2012 09:04PM
Hi guys,

I've just managed to delete all of my uboot environment variables with a careless reboot. I still have uboot installed, but I cannot natively boot from ANYTHING. I just get dumped to a command line. Anyone know how I can reset my variables long enough to boot something and reset them permanently?

Thanks,

You meant UBoot command line while you are in serial console? and which box you are troubleshooting?

Fixed myself. This was on a 2TB GoFlex Home.

For those who find themselves in the same situation, all you need to do is copy and paste this file, line by line, into the serial console, followed by "saveenv". This will get your default settings (as used by Jeff's uboot) back.
