Lost rescue password

I have the Doozan rescue system installed on my PogoPlug E02. For some reason the rescue root password that I have in my records is not working. Is there a fairly simple way to change or reset the root password from TFTP login without reflashing the rescue system?

You meant SSH login? Are you not able to log in at all even with serial console?

If that is true, then you need to boot in to Debian, mount the NAND rescue rootfs , and then modify the root login password file.
